Smith Marine, Inc., offers Safety and Stand-by/Rescue boats for all Marine Access Bridge, Harbor and River projects.

Smith Marine’s fleet of Safety Vessels are outfitted with full USCG Safety Equipment and meets USACE standards. Boats can be launched from a trailer or hoisted depending on your job specific needs.

SMI1705: A steel hull, 17’x5.5’x1.5’ draft custom workboat, equipped with a Yamaha 60 HP four stroke outboard engine and tow post.
SMI1706: A 17’x6’x1.5’ draft Carolina Skiff, open center console with a Honda BF60 HP four stroke outboard engine. Vessel is outfitted with tow post, VHF radio, and recovery ladder.

SMI ALERT 1: A 21’x8’x1.5’ draft Boston Whaler Impact, commercial series with 225 HP Optimax engine. Vessel fully equipped with T-top, GPS plotter, VHF radio, deck lights for night operations, foam fender collar around entire vessel. Extremely stable / fast response boat.

Pier and Seawall Construction

Pier and Seawall Construction

In the Winter of 2018 our timber seawall suffered significant damage during a 'Noreaster. After evaluating numerous marine contractors, we selected Smith Marine to build a new, safer and longer-lasting wall. I can only say that during the entire project, the Smith crew exhibited the highest possible standards in terms of work ethic, client relations and professionalism. They worked seamlessly with the city's Conservation Committee and the Engineering firm who designed the wall. The result: A gorgeous, higher, safer and more durable wall. Their attention to detail during construction was exacting as was their care for our property. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anybody who needed a job done to perfection. They know their stuff!
